The brief
The ask from Sky was to improve the existing Sky Bus web app, by delivering an enhanced experience for the user with real-time tracking for each bus.
My approach
- I worked closely with the Sky development team to fully analyse the requirements and explore the technical restraints of this job.
- This helped me lead specific research and review other mobile apps that use timetables. I then tested them with a small group of users, to understand which approaches work best.
- I broke down the content on each existing page to help demonstrate what content was necessary and where we could enhance certain areas.
- Based on the results, I created prototypes to explore the best ways to simplify the current, complex timetable. This was the biggest challenge and I worked tirelessly to find an all-encompassing solution.
- Utilising all research and findings, I helped create and implement a visual style consistent with the internal marketing campaign.
The solution
When I left the project is was nearing the end of phase 2 and was going through final development amends before it’s shared was everyone at Sky.
